Kindda scary story

During my summer vacations, just after Eid-ul-Fitar, I was asked for internship at my university. So I came to Islamabad. My teacher (superior) told me to stay in the previous hostel. I reached there at about 9 pm. The gate-keeper asked me if I have the permission or letter. I said “no, I have been told to stay here”. So anyways after a long procedure I went into my room. There was no power at that time. I went down and asked gate-keeper about the electricity. He replied there hasn’t been electric supply for 2 days. And I was standing there WTF! Now the hostel was completely empty with no students or any kind of human species in it, the light was out and my room was on third floor. I sat with the chacha (gate-keeper) and started chatting to pass some time and then I can go to sleep.
During the conversation the chacha told me that during the whole eid I was in the hostel all alone with no electric supply. Let me remind you my hostel is at G.T road Islamabad, the area with almost no population. He was telling me that he felt very unsecure during that period because of so much alone he was. “Anything could have happened to me during that time” he said.
He added “During the third night of eid, weather became pleasant, so I decided to go on roof top (5 stories above). I am a retired army man and I had spent 15 years in poonch sector, I have seen so many dreadful things and faced many tragic incidents as an army man so you can count me as a brave man. So I was climbing the stairs, when I reached third floor I felt something around me and it scared the hell out of me and ran back towards ground floor.“
Listening to chacha’s story, an incident of last semester came through my mind. I was all alone in my apartment. I had locked and checked all the doors and windows and sat to watch a movie. I felt thirsty, so I went to drink water in the corridor. During drinking I noticed that the light of adjacent room was off and the fan was on. But I had turned off the fan and turned on the light few minutes ago. So I went there to check it out. A projection of man was lying there. I was so scared that I came back to my room and went to sleep immediately (lock of my room was defected, if you are interested ;)).
Coming back towards chacha, he was telling me if he is that brave and cannot stand tanhai, how can I? I was really scared because my room was at third floor. So I said good bye to chacha and ran towards my room before chacha can scare me further. I entered my room watched a movie on my laptop and then I lay down expecting some sleep. But those scary ideas kept coming to my mind. I kept reading ayat-ul-kursi to overcome my fear. Finally I went to sleep but minutes after that I felt something near me. I was wide awake. Then again a low buzzing sound comes to my ears. I was scared. Someone touched my ear and buzz, Ladies and gentlemen; it was mosquito, the famous, the annoying creature. And that little thing kept me awake for whole night and the next day was my duty day.
So that was my experience from daily routine. Hope you like my writing. Please contribute by sharing your own or any other’s experience.
